We are constantly adding new books to our web site and have selected this page to keep you informed. Returning customers should book mark this page, as we change it constantly. Of course, the books listed here are co-listed on thier respective category pages as well.

Located in downtown Veedersburg Indiana, Michael and Virginia Welch have made the leap and opened their used bookstore. Though they have been selling books since 1998, this is a new venture into a fully stocked bricks and mortar store. Books in the store are priced from as low as $1.00 to a few hundred dollars. "We have stocked more than 8000 books already, and are constantly buying more." Mr. Welch said.

Located across the street from the Tacky Apron Antique Mall and Bakery at 108 North Main Street, The Lost Chapter is a book lover's paradise. The Lost Chapter offers a wide selection of used paperbacks and hardbacks. Three large rooms offer something for everyone, including an incredible selection of out-of-print, rare, and hard-to-find titles.

There are romance novels, historical books, Americana, biographies; classics, poetry, religion, science and medicine just to mention a few of the many categories.  A selection of books written by acclaimed authors is available, and when we can get them, books on Indiana history or written by Indiana authors are highlighted in their own section. The Victorian room houses collectables, first editions, signed books, classics, and Michael’s personal favorites, early Victorian Era books.

Book signings will be held as often as we find author's to appear. T. E. Scott's signing of "Crazyman's Ecomonics" was the first and Charlie Dukes signing of "Good Morning, but the Nightmares Never End" , both great hits. Watch here for dates and times of more signings.

We are always in the market to buy books. Single volumes like you see here, entire libraries, or just a few choice books.

but please see our page on what we buy before contacting us to sell your book

We purchase only hard back books in most categories and we desire our books to be in excellent condition since that is what most of our customers expect. Unfortunately, we cannot buy textbooks, book club editions, paperbacks, or books that have been extensively underlined, highlighted, or annotated .

Our commitment is to provide the best price possible for good books offered to us and generally, we do not provide quotes. You should research your book first and determine a price you would like to receive. If we decide to buy, we may accept that price or give you a counter offer for your book.
